Achieve Your New Year’s Resolution of Learning a Language

Posted by

Hello everybody and Happy New Year from Home Language International!

Is learning a language one of your New Year’s resolutions? Then we can help you cross it off your list! Living and Studying in your private teacher’s home is the fastest and most effective way to learn a language.

Many members of our international team thought about their own resolutions in their home countries over the Christmas holidays. By now everyone is back at the office with fully charged batteries and heads buzzing with ideas and enthusiasm for 2019.

This year will be very special and exciting for Home Language International as we are celebrating our 40th anniversary! Our Chief Executive Ian Josephs founded HLI’s predecessor Home English Lessons in 1979. This was the first time such a language course, Live and Study in your private teacher’s home, had ever been offered. 40 years of business is an amazing milestone worthy of being recognised in many ways, which is exactly what we intend to do. 🙂

Launching this blog is part of our birthday celebrations, as well as rebranding and improving our service. The HLI team has been working hard on the improvements for the most part of 2018 and the work is still ongoing. We are very excited about introducing our new projects and will endeavour to strengthen our relationship with our partners, local organisers, host teachers as well as our students.

This blog will grow to serve as a library grouping together interesting and helpful information concerning homestays such as testimonials from our students, destination guides, advice for learning languages etc. The editorial role has been given to me, Henriikka, but the whole office team will participate in creating content with help from guest bloggers. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or comments, or want to get in touch with us for any reason – we are always happy to hear from you!
